The Videocon Group is keen on developing infrastructure in Punjab in order to set up 1,000 MW power plant with an investment of Rs 5,000 crore.
Currently apart from this plant, Videocon will set up three thermal power plants aggregating 5,000 MW in Gujarat, West Bengal and Chhattisgarh. The group through its Special Purpose Vehicle, Pipavava Energy Pvt Ltd will set up a coal-based super critical thermal power project near Pipavav port in Gujarat.
