Tata Power, R-Infra dispute continues

Tata Power and Reliance Infrastructure had a dispute again. Tata Power had an argument
with R-Infra and accused them of selling electricity to buyers outside the city.
Tata Power Company (TPC) responded to the allegation calling R-Infra 'an irresponsible' power distributor causing unnecessary burden to the consumers of Mumbai.
R-Infra alleged that TPC was selling 100 MW to buyers outside Mumbai. Tata Power has threatened to suspend sale of 500 MW power to R-Infra as R-Infra refused to sign a power purchase agreement. SC has given TPC a favourable order but the Maharashtra government convinced TPC to continue supply to R-Infra till April 30.
