Shri Sriprakash Jaiswal, Minister of State for Coal has assured Madhya Pradesh Government all possible support to overcome shortage of coal for the upcoming power projects in the State. In a meeting here today with the Chief Minister of the State, Shri Shivraj Singh Chauhan, the Coal Minister said that the Ministry would consider sympathetically the demand of the State for coal linkages for power plants and more allotment of coal to the State. He enquired about the status of the coal production from the blocks already allotted to the States and urged him to adopt efficient management of the blocks for maximum benefit.
Chief Minister of the State apprised the Coal Minister of increased requirement of coal for power plants in the State, issue of import of the coal by the State and environment clearance for the coal blocks in the State.
