The Andhra Pradesh Power Generation Corporation (APGenco) has placed order with VA Tech Wabag, one of the leading players in the water treatment sector, for total water management at their thermal power projects at Kakatiya and Rayalaseema under balance of plants package as part of consortium. Wabag part involves around Rs 290 crore for total water management.
The scope of the project includes raw water pre-treatment, DM plant, circulating water system; cooling water chemical dosing system; cooling water treatment system; effluent treatment system and condensate polishing unit for both locations and recycling system for Rayalaseem Thermal Power Project location.

The capacity of Kakatiya and Rayalaseema Thermal Power Projects is 600 MW each. The project would be implemented in the next 30 months.
